Ahidra was founded at the end of 1998 by three partners from the wastewater treatment sector under the name of Ahidra environmental engineering services, opening its offices in Palau Solità i Plegamans.

In 2003 Ahidra began its commercial relationship with the Dutch company COLSEN as a distributor of its technology in Spain and Portugal.

In 2010 Ahidra was renamed Ahidra water and energy and in 2012 the company moved to the current offices located in Polinyà.

Ahidra has participated in several R&D projects, for example a H2020 project in 2015to study the feasibility of recovering nutrients from slurry.

In 2018 after years of joint projects with Colsen, the Dutch company acquires shares in the company and the company Ahidra Colsen Technologies is formed and the company becomes part of the international Colsen group.

During all these years Ahidra has successfully carried out a multitude of projects throughout the Spanish territory as well as specific international projects in countries such as France, Portugal and Argentina.

Ahidra's expertise and experience grants the ability to solve, in the most efficient way, any problem presented to him by his clients in any of the three areas of its activity.

The company expands its range of services and technologies in a continuous effort to develop new technologies and launch them on the market to solve environmental problems.

Among the many types of waste water, Ahidra stands out for its ability to treat digestate from co-digestion plants. It also implements the group's latest generation technological systems such as: the NAS® Process for nitrogen removal, the AMFER® Process for nitrogen recovery or the ANPHOS® Process for phosphorus recovery.

In the same way, Ahidra presents in its portfolio different products and services with the latest technology for the purification of polluting gases and/or odor treatment.
